Lots of problems - not good quality

The veneer was peeling off the door jambs and the door jambs have not been made to the correct size ..."the chinese factory are for some reason making them the wrong size - they should be 30mm each not 22mm. " But even after allowing for that there was a 50mm difference between the advised head and the width of the doors, of which 30mm is taken up by pillar hinges and other hinges (so we find out on calling) but there is no explanation in the instructions. So do the pillar hinges function best at 6mm or 10mm - yet more silence in the instructions - and we did get some kind of answer after waiting for 20 mins to get through on the helpline. And when we ask for more instruction by email, it was clarified that routing is the same as pre-drilled in the instrucitons - which is quite confusing. An apology has been offered with an accepted £75 discount, which is appreciated. But I will not be buying doors from here again. And you cannot specify the colour of the hinges either. If we are paying £1000 for a Doorset at least the quality of the oak veneer should be more than the thinnest paper not stuck down properly.... If you buy doors from here, rather than spending two hours trying to decipher the instructions, it is far better to spend the 20 mins waiting on the phone to get through to a technician to explain what to do as the instructions are poor."
