The Climadoor Hardwood Integral Garage Personnel Fire Door Frame has been designed specifically for use between an integral garage and the main house, making it an ideal choice where a suitable frame is needed for an internal FD30 fire door installation. 

This type of opening is one of the most important in the home from a fire safety point of view, so choosing the right frame is essential for achieving a safe, durable and professional result. 

Climadoor has developed this frame with exactly that application in mind.

• Grooved for 15 x 4mm intumescent strip (Intumescent strip not included)

Although similar in style to an external door frame, this fire door frame is intended for internal use, so it is supplied with a threshold rather than a cill. This makes it more suitable for the transition between an attached garage and the house, where a robust hardwood frame is needed but a full external frame detail wouldn’t be appropriate. The threshold helps create a neat and practical internal finish.

Manufactured from quality engineered unfinished meranti hardwood, the frame offers excellent strength and stability. The engineered construction helps improve consistency and reduce the likelihood of twisting or movement compared to some non-engineered timber options, while the unfinished surface allows it to be decorated or treated on site to suit the installation. This gives you useful flexibility, whether the project calls for a painted or stained finish.

For easier transport and assembly, the frame is supplied flat-packed and it features pre-machined mortise and tenon joints to help simplify the fitting process. 

This Climadoor internal fire door frame is offered in a variety of sizes, covering two of the most common fire door sizes used for this type of application:

To suit 1981 x 762 x 44mm door:

• Outer frame size: 2043 x 832 x 80mm
• Recommended structural opening: 2048 x 842mm
  

To suit 1981 x 838 x 44mm door:

• Outer frame size: 2043 x 908 x 80mm
• Recommended structural opening: 2048 x 918mm
