When embarking on a property renovation, it’s important to strike a balance between heritage aesthetics and your own unique style. Our customers Jess and Andy began their renovation after moving from Hackney to a quiet suburb. The atmosphere and aesthetic of Hackney featured heavily in their design plans but inspiration also came from further afield.
Jess says: "We travel a lot for work and wanted to bring a bit of urban industrial influence into our new home. I'm forever drawn to Crittall doors and windows. I'm particularly inspired by places such as Williamsburg in NYC, downtown Los Angeles and urban European cities such as Antwerp."

Jess explains: "Our property needed a complete renovation on a tight budget with the kitchen being the biggest project. We worked with the existing footprint, designing the space around the concept of the Crittall style doors. We wanted to bring light into the space and make the doors the focal point."
The "light infusion" trend has become a cornerstone of modern home renovation, driven by a desire to enjoy both indoor comfort and the natural world. Jess explains the next steps, saying: "A lot of research led us to finding Vibrant doors. We fitted the kitchen ourselves and this timeframe worked perfectly for the overall project and our door fitters."
