The ‘Tradesman’ range of pine bifold doors combines excellence with affordability to allow you to transform your home. As our most keenly priced external bifold door available, this model is popular for home refurbishments and new builds that are being completed on a budget.
The Benefits Of Pine
Pine is a light coloured, grained softwood that’s ideal for creating a rustic look. It’s one of the most cost-effective timbers suitable for bifold doors, giving you great value for money. It’s also resistant to shrinking and swelling. If you have a farmhouse style kitchen or you enjoy country living you might find that pine bifold doors are a great choice for your home.
Tradesman Pine Bifold Doors
This great value Climadoor range is available in a variety of sizes from 1800mm (6ft) to 4800mm (16ft). With such variety you’re sure to find the right fit for your project. Despite the small price tag, these pine bifold doors are made from solid engineered timber which is chemically treated to ensure minimum heat transfer. The double glazed units are argon filled to ensure great thermal performance. These pine folding doors are fully compliant with Part L of the Building Regulations, with a U value of 1.8w/m2K. The door styles are just 44mm thick, giving you great views and letting in extra light.
These folding pine doors are top hung for smooth operation. They’re also reversible so you can choose which side they fold to. For the security conscious, you can rest assured that these patio doors are supplied with a multipoint locking system as standard.
Installation & Finishing
These pine patio doors are supplied unfinished so you can add your own paint or stain. Applying an adequate finish is essential to weatherproof these doors before installation. Please note that these doors have been treated with a high-performance preservative chemical which includes a water-repellent material. This is designed to protect the timber throughout its life. When decoration, please take care to apply the finish to all faces and make sure that your chosen paint or stain is compatible with timber treated with a water-repellent.
Once your chosen finish has been applied you can install the modular sets. The ready glazed doors are pre-machined, as are the frames. This should allow simple and straightforward door installation on site, a true ‘no nonsense’ door set.
